The Organization

Founded in 1942, SESLOC Credit Union provides personal and business banking, commercial lending and investment services in central and coastal California. SESLOC has assets of $1.2 billion, with 55,000 members.

The obstacles

Over five years, SESLOC’s previous digital banking platform delivered two major updates. The SDK was limited, personalization was constrained, and releases required significant testing and often broke other parts of the application.

The mission

SESLOC sees digital banking as a foundational component for delivering on their mission and specifically on their goal: to go beyond what other banks and credit unions are doing, and to get to an Amazon-like level of personalization in the user experience.

the results

The Solution

SESLOC chose Lumin Digital for its modular architecture, weekly releases, integration with CRM and their data warehouse, and SDK capabilities that would help create an experience “on par with what users expect from the likes of Amazon, Chime, and the big banks.”
