Lumin Digital to Provide Digital Banking Services for Service 1st Federal Credit Union

San Ramon, Calif. — (Sept. 30, 2021) — Lumin Digital, a PSCU company, has announced that Service 1st Federal Credit Union (Service 1st) has signed a multi-year agreement for Lumin Digital’s cloud-native platform for online and mobile digital banking solutions. Lumin Digital will support nearly 30,000 Service 1st members when the credit union goes live on the platform in April 2022.

Founded in 1975 as Geisinger Employees Federal Credit Union in Danville, Penn., Service 1st changed its name in 1995 to reflect what set the credit union apart from other financial institutions: its singular focus on service. The largest credit union in Pennsylvania not headquartered in a metropolitan area, Service 1st remains committed to providing a lifetime of financial services to meet its members’ changing needs, while also fostering relationships of trust, dignity and respect. Service 1st, currently holding more than $517 million in assets across 11 branches, is focused on offering best-in-class technology solutions for its members, making a partnership with Lumin Digital a natural fit.

“In looking for a digital banking partner, we felt Lumin Digital was the industry leader in experience, providing the cleanest, sharpest and most feature-rich solutions,” said Jay Reed, chief information officer at Service 1st. “From the beginning, we believed a strong partnership with Lumin Digital would be in the best interest of our members. We are extremely grateful to our forward-thinking board of directors for allowing Service 1st to be visionaries in the technology world through partnerships like this that meet and exceed our members’ expectations.”

As a cloud-native digital banking platform built using elite technology, Lumin Digital provides members with a tightly integrated and customized experience that matches larger financial institutions’ offerings. In creating a truly personalized journey, Lumin Digital helps credit unions and banks better engage with their members, increase value and deepen relationships.

“We are extremely pleased that Service 1st, which has experienced tremendous asset and membership growth over the past decade, chose to partner with Lumin Digital,” said Jeff Chambers, president of Lumin Digital. “Our mutual commitment to delivering cutting-edge products and support to Service 1st members positions our partnership for success, and we look forward to meeting their members’ evolving needs.”
